Celine Havard

Celine Havard has directed regionally, Of Broadway and Off-Off Broadway. Havard directed American premieres of EXIT ENTRANCE by Aidan Matthews and WHEN I WAS A GIRL I USED TO SCREAM AND SHOUT by Sharman MacDonald at the Walnut Street Theatre in Philadephia. Directing and acting in many developing works, Havard was also a founding member of Abingdon Theatre Company, Theatre Ariel and The Alternative Theatre Company. Credits at Pulse Ensemble Theatre include the Off-Broadway premiere of CAPTIVE (published by Samuel French) and SESSION by Broadway playwright Lezley Steele.

As a Managing Director Havard has worked for Landis & Company, Lynn Shapiro Dance Company, Andrew Janetti and Dancers and the Players Project. When wearing the Managing Director hat she was adept at contracts, casting, rentals, budgeting and strategic planning.

Havard served as Marketing Director co-jointly to Intar, Hispanic American Arts Center and the Women’s Project & Productions. As Marketing Director she was well versed at mailing services, newsletters, public relations, press packages and promotional material.

When it comes to any other administrative facet of the production process she has covered it including poster & flyer distribution, contact management, advertising and catering an event. Other administrative credits include the Drama League, Peacock Productions, Cowgirl Productions, The New Professional Theatre and the Manhattan Theatre Club.

She has directed, produced and professionally consulted on many independent readings, staged reading, showcases, and readings of screenplays.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Communication from Temple University and a Master’s Degree in Arts Administrations from Columbia University Havard brings both the credentials and skills to the table when a job is at hand. Her motto is when opportunity meets preparation … success!
